You can see on the left of the photo post is the meta data, and there are custom fields as well, that you define in the custom fields. We are working on a way that will not conflict with other plugins that use the custom fields, and have 90% decided on a prefix to your field. This will obviously be documented when it is released!

We are working to have this released in a week. Keep your ears to the ground!

It is a photo blog, but can be used for many different thing. It is very loosely based on a design we had done for an RV dealer, so we know that it will be flexible to handle anything you need.

We are planning on launching this as a premium WordPress theme. Don’t worry though, for personal use, the theme will be free.

It will cease to be free when you do one of the following:

1. Resell the them or offer it to a client as a web design package
2. Use the theme on your own commercial website (ie. a photography studio or RV dealer as pointed out above)
3. Or unbrand the theme (removing the designed by/powered by text)

The price we have decided on for commercial use is $2.50. Cheap enough for you to not lose any money when reselling it, using a fully working CMS for your company’s site or unbranding it to show off to your friends as your own . This only constitutes one site though, so if you are launching or reselling this theme a lot, you will have to purchase a new license each time, or a one time license of $50 that gives you developer rights, and a download of all of the files (PSDs, AIs and, of course, the theme itself).

I am open to working with anyone who wants to help improve this project. It has slowed down a lot since George and I first started working on it, and like me, I am sure he would be more than happy to have more capable hands working with us.

Cross Domain Timthumb – Download Now!

I am familiar with how to customize these themes for regularWordPress, but MU isn’t regular WordPress, now is it?

There were only a couple of places where code had to be changed in the actual theme itself (uploadable logo, etc), but then I ran into timthumb.php.

After messing around with Google for about an hour, I decided to go at it on my own, and the file attached at the bottom is the end result.

It supports MU for sub-domains and sub-folders, and is as simple as replacing your timthumb.php file in your theme (well plus another step).

1. Modify your timthumb_mu_*php files to use the correct database credentials for your blog.
2. Upload timthumb_mu_*.php files to your themes (wordpress-mu/wp-content/themes) directory.
3. Modify timthumb to point to the correct version of the timthumb_mu_*.php
   • folders is for when you use folders
   • subdirectories is for when you use sub directories
4. Upload the modified timthumb.php to your theme (wordpress-mu/wp-content/themes/theme_name) directory.
5. Test the site obviously .

That should be all you need to do to get it to work.
